About of the Venezuelan Cuatro:

The cuatro of Venezuela has four single nylon strings, tuned (ad'f#'b). It is similar in shape and tuning to the ukulele, but their character and playing technique are vastly different. It is tuned in a similar fashion to the traditional D tuning of the ukulele, but the A and B are an octave lower. Consequently, the same fingering can be used to shape the chords, but it produces a different inversion of each chord. A cuatro player is called The Venezuelan cuatro is the four-string the renaissance guitar which disappeared in the 16th century after a short period of surging popularity. In the 1950s, Fredy Reyna documented the evolution of the renaissance guitar into the current Venezuelan Cuatro, and reinvented the cuatro as a solo instrument, equally capable of rendering traditional Venezuelan music as well as Renaissance pieces. The course of construction of musical instruments that you will have the honor to support with your contribution will be directed especially to young people who wish to learn the luthier trade and demonstrate aptitudes to do it and it will last for 01 year during which the participants will receive the theoretical and practical technical training in several subjects including basic notions of music, knowledge of wood, use of tools, safety in the use of tools, construction techniques, knowledge of acoustics among others.

The method will be to carry out the production simultaneously during the learning always under my supervision and control to guarantee the quality of the elaborated pieces.

Amount of participants:

The course is contemplated to attend a number no less than 10 apprentices

that each one will have to produce 4 instruments for a total of 40 instruments

Acerca del curso de Lutheria:

El curso de construccion de instrumentos musicales estara dirigido especialmente a jovenes que deseen aprender el oficio de luthier y demuestren aptitudes para realizarlo y tendra una duracion se 01 año durante el cual los participantes recibiran la capacitacion tecnica, teorica y practica en varias materias incluidas nociones basicas de musica, conocimiento de la madera, uso de herramientas, seguridad en el uso de las herramientas, tecnicas de construccion, conocimientos de acustica entre otros.

El metodo sera llevar a cabo la produccion simultaneamente durante el aprendizaje siempre bajo mi supervision y control para garantizar la calidad de las piezas elaboradas.

Cantidad de Participantes:

El curso esta contemplado para atender un numero no menor de 10 aprendices

que deberan producir cada uno 4 instrumentos cada uno para un total de 40 instrumentos en un periodo de 1 año durante el cual hemos planificado la totalidad del curso.

Acerca del destino de los productos elaborados durante el curso:

El curso es sin ningun costo para el alumno y los materiales seran provistos por el curso.

En contraprestacion los participantes haran aporte de 3 de los 4 instrumentos elaborados por cada uno, quedando el alumno en posesion de 1 de los 4 instrumentos elaborados por el como merecido incentivo por su esfuerzo y participacion.
