Help Me to Become a Shaman

On 18th September 2015 I was introduced to the art of energetic healing (or shamanism), and it changed my life.

My first glimpse at what a shaman can do was an incredibly powerful experience. A good friend of mine (who is also a shaman) did an Illumination on me. She opened and cleansed my chakras and helped them to "spin clockwise" again. I am not someone who has ever experienced any form of sensation when people have tried to heal me in the past, but this time was different. I experienced energy entering my solar-plexus so forcefully it was like being hit. As a result of all this energy suddenly flowing through it, my body was moving without me doing anything, and energy was flowing into my third-eye chakra. Afterwards, I was like a new person. I felt so light and happy.

This experience helped shift an energetic blockage which I had probably been living with for around 8 years. The most important thing that I gained from the experience is that it changed my mindset. I have realized, on a deep level, that I have the power to choose my own thoughts and actions, and am not a powerless victim to them. I no longer feel like I am drifting though life with no sense of purpose. Shamanism has given me a purpose and goal in life. I have found meaning and a belief in something that is greater than myself. In other, slightly cheesy words, I have found hope.

My desire is to be able to help others to find this hope too. That is why I am drawn to become a shaman.

Shamanism is the art of living in harmony and in balance with creation, learning how to connect with the universal system which surrounds us. I believe everyone has the power to connect with this system and, in that connection, find healing. As a shaman, I would learn how to hold the space which allows people to deeply connect with, and heal, themselves.

To learn more about this amazing healing practice, I plan on attending The Light Body School through The Four Winds Society based in the United States. But I need some help with funding this journey.
