YOGA has been practiced for more than 5,000 years, and currently, close to 11 million Americans are enjoying its health benefits. Most Westernized yoga classes focus on learning physical poses, which are called asanas and also usually include some form of breathing technique and possibly a meditation technique as well. Some yoga classes are designed purely for relaxation. But there are styles of yoga that teach you how to move your body in new ways. Choosing one of these styles offers the greatest health benefits by enabling you to develop your flexibility, strength, and balance.

Unfortunately, the people who could benefit most from yoga, rarely ever have an opportunity to enjoy it. I want to change that! I want to take yoga off of the mainline and suburban towns and bring it to the inner-city where the lost and forgotten often roam. I want to collaborate with churches, synagogues and temples to educate and teach on the benefits of yoga. I want to change the minds of our nation from the pharmaceutical culture, to a wellness culture. I want to to A LOT but it begins by becoming a certified Yoga teacher.

I have practiced yoga for over 5 years and I know I have what it takes to become a great teacher. Additionally, the course I wish to embark upon with my practice will bring me deeper in line with the needs of my universe.
