Help me surprise her by getting our life started.

I'm trying to surprise the love of my life!

We're two students who fell in love at university three years ago. We want to get married as soon as possible, but the earliest date keeps getting pushed back. At the moment, we are hoping for 15 December 2018. It's the only time of the year that both of our families will be able to travel. The next time available for everyone to travel from afar is the following December.

To put it simple: we're madly in love with each other. Some people spend their lives searching for 'the one', and here we are in our early twenties already... We know what a privilege this is and don't want to waste a moment. At the end of this year I will finally have graduated as a mechanical engineer and next year, Anchen will be graduating as a mechatronic engineer. For the first time in our relationship, I will be able to provide a solid income for us and we will call ourselves independent.

We need $8000 to cover all of our living expenses from the day we say 'I do' until I receive my first paycheck. We are both working part-time from studying, but there is no possible way we can save up that much in the short ten months lying ahead. We'll be financially independent as soon as I start earning a salary at the end of January 2019, but there is that daunting first month of expenses that is causing us to postpone the wedding a whole 12 months.

Sadly, I can't share or advertise this on my own social media platforms: it has to be kept as a surprise for her. But, if you feel that this is a noble cause, please share it with your friends and family.
