Help me study abroad in Seoul, South Korea!

Hi! My name is Lauren Miller. I am from Lexington, Kentucky. I currently attend Chapman University in Orange, California. I'm a sophomore Philosophy and Political Science double major and I hope to study abroad at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea next fall. In order to do this I am going to need some help.

My family is not wealthy but has always worked hard to help me achieve my goals. However, we do not currently have the funds to fund my trip here. I will need assistance with money for:
-airfare to Seoul, Korea (appx. 1500 USD)
-textbooks (appx. 500 USD)
-housing (appx. 2500 USD)
-incidentals (500 USD)

In order to understand why I want to study at Yonsei University in South Korea, you should know that I have been studying the language and culture for years on my own initiative. I have been enfatuated with the US/SKR relations for years and really want to continue this as a career as a possible diplomat between our nation and theirs. This is my dream to go to South Korea, Seoul specifically and experience their culture fully.

I am a very involved member of my school as I am the current track and field captain at Chapman. I am on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee in which we help and plan events for other Chapman athletes. I am on the University Program Board and I am a member of Student Government (SGA) at my school. I love my school so its with a heavy heart that I would miss a semester there but its also with a equally as excited heart that I would get to attend my dream school for a semester in Korea.
