Hi there! :) I'm Cylvia, a first generation freshman in college, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Studio Arts. I have the opportunity to study art in Italy this summer. It's a 6 week faulty led program (2 weeks here in Miami, 2 weeks in Perugia, Italy with trips to Rome and Florence, and is concluded with 2 weeks back in Miami.) It will be my first time going out of the country. However, the cost of the trip is currently prohibiting me from going. The total cost is about $2,800. This doesn't include the $100 application fee to reserve my spot, or emergency money (who wants to be in a foriegn country with no extra money??) My family doesn't have the wealthiest background and I have no way to fund the cost of the trip. Studying abroad in Italy is a once in a life time opportunity for me and would open so many doors for me, giving me both cultural experience that is neccesary for my future work as a Teen Crisis Counselor, as well as an opportunity to visit and study some of the most famous art works in the world. I don't want to let this chance slip out of my fingers. Please help me get to Italy this summer. I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your generosity in advance.
