My name is Cherry and I am a 3rd year university student in Hong Kong, majoring in law. I've been struggling financially for quite some time after my parents' business went under right after I started university.
Recently I applied for an opportunity to study at the law faculty in Chuo University (Tokyo) for a semester-long exchange. Having always been interested in comparative law from a Japanese point-of-view, it would mean so much to me if I could raise enough money to go. I work part-time, but juggling assignments, exam preparation and work is really difficult, plus I have another external exam to study for in December... there's only so much time I can devote to work.
Here's a breakdown of the estimated expenses for an exchange period of 5 months (from April to August 2018):
Rent: 180,000yen (HK$13,000 )
Living expenses: 70,000 yen x 5 months = 350,000yen (HK$25,000)
Less HK$ 10,000 support from my university
Total = HK$ 28,000
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will be appreciated!
Thank you for reading till the end. If you do decide to donate, I'd like to let you know that I really appreciate your contribution towards funding my future.
