I've always loved making beautiful crafts and I have a huge interest in design, in fact everything artsy. With that I also have fallen in love with African culture as I grew up but my worry was the fact that it's slowly dying as people are moving to cities.

One idea that came into my mind, over two years ago, is to start making beads (most common accessory across African tribes) and incorporate that with illustration. My plans with this was to get the women in my area to help me with the beading to teach me and also as some form of employment and to use design to communicate with young people online.

So far I have taught myself Adobe illustrator and Photoshop, I have also started to teach myself beading. However it would be lovely to have formal training in both, design and beading to make this impactful, legit and also get the community involved.

This idea has been inspired by other young people that have done similar things and everything around me.
