Thank you for showing interest in my campaign!
Let me first introduce myself! My name is Biserka, I am 33 years old and moved from Australia to Serbia to be with my Mum
My Mum is 67 years old, retired and her health is deteriorating steadily but surely.
Her health has become worse over the last 8-10 months, particularly when it comes to mobility (she isnt able to move without assistance of a crutch or walking stick ) She has dizzy spells (often fainting in public ) she suffers from depression and severe anxiety (she finds it difficult to be alone, and relies on numerous medication to manage her symptoms) She has had a few operations on her lower back and is expecting another very soon. On top of this she is permanently deaf in her righ ear and up to 70% deaf in her left, I am taking her to a specialist about a hearing aid soon. she has no natural teeth, as all of them had to be extracted due to a major infection that caused swelling in her face and threatened to spread to her brain. This means she cant eat a lot of food, so I need to shop and cook for her. She needs a permanent carer, so I moved to Serbia and have been living with her for the last 18 months.
Aside from all this she really doesn’t have anyone left, most of her siblings have passed, both of her parents have passed and cousins, nieces and nephews are scattered around the country and rest of Europe.
I am the youngest of 3 siblings myself, both my older siblings cant take care of her. I do work, I teach English online, but the wage only covers the essentials (bills, food, petrol) and I havent been able to save much. I have a temporary residency visa but this will expire by August this year. I have been looking into options to stay and I can apply for citizenship through my Mum (she has Serbian Citizenship) rather then reapplying for another visa i would like to apply for citizenship (both applications cost the same) however citizenship will mean I can get a permanent, stable job in Serbia and stay with mum and not worry about how I will support us and or whether I have to leave the country.
More importantly I can be the one who stays with my Mum and takes care of her. I wont have to worry wether she ran out of medication, or if she fainted in public. I wont need to worry how she's coping, by herself, after surgery. I wont need to worry wether she managed to shop and cook herself something to eat.I can be there with her. I can help her. I can do these things for her.
I have managed to pay and organise as many documents as I can but I am missing some pieces. Here is the breakdown of remaining documents and costs in Euro
- Apostille Australian Birth Certificate at Australian Embassy (€55)
- Photocopy and certify Australian Passport at Australian Embassy (€50)
- Translate Australian Birth Certificate into Serbian Language (€20)
- Request copy of proof of Australian Citizenship (€120)
- Apostille Australian Citizenship Certificate (€55)
- Translate Australian Citizenship Certificate into Serbian Language (€20)
- Application fee for Serbian Citizenship (€180)
TOTAL €500 (Euro)
I hope to have everything ready and submit by mid March this year. I will most likely have to reapply for my visa whilst waiting for my citizenship to approve…which I will have to deal with when the time comes.
If anyone can help, I would greatly GREATLY appreciate it .
Thank you for your time.
