Help me stay in school!

Who I am:

My name is Alexis, and I'm a full-time second year Microbiology with Immunology undergraduate student in the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the University of Leeds in the UK. I hope to go on to either earn a PhD and work as a researcher for a biopharmaceutical company (or start my own), or earn a medical degree and become an interventional and nuclear radiologist. My dream is to research and develop exciting new ways to image and treat cancers. I am also a male-to-female transsexual, originally from California.

Why am I asking you for help:

My parents, while they love me very much, do not approve of my transition at all, and have threatened to not take out the loans I need to pay my tuition, rent, and living costs for my final year of my course, although, if I get into the Master of Biology program, my course will be another two years. I am trying to see if the university will help me with my tuition fees, and also looking for other funding sources as well. Apparently, they'd rather have me be an uneducated, useless guy than a learned chick who's helping heal people. Transitioning while studying is hard enough, as well as dealing with the inevitable emotional fallout, but I really do not need financial stress on top of it. It's almost like they want to lose me forever, at least from this action, if not their words. 

My church, while not approving of my transition either, is being incredibly caring for me, and see me as a person, not as a tranny. My parents are also Christian, which makes me even more sad they're treating me like this. Me and my parents still want to be around each other, but I just don't know if it would be worth it for either of us.

What I would like from you:

I need to raise $100000 over the next two years ($50,000 by September 2013, $50,000 by September 2014) so I can stay in my studies, and launch my career, so I won't end up on the streets or in the porn industry. I want to follow my dream, and I won't let anything or anyone stop me! Any words of encouragement would be nice as well. I'm terribly sorry I can't offer a reward.
