Campaign Story
This fundraiser is for Zivko. He is 6 years old and he has wet FIP, which can be fatal if he doesn't get the antiviral medication. The treatment is really expensive, so I decided to start the fundraiser to save him
In August, I noticed that Zivko is not acting as usual. I took him to the vet, he had high fever and no other symptoms.After three weeks of high fever, even with different kinds of therapy and all the tests we could think of, his belly started filling with fluid. With a fairly simple test we were finally able to diagnose him.
Zivko was found in a garbage with his brothers and sisters as a two week old kitten.
He survived a rough start in life and he deserves a chance to fight against FIP.
Please help us save Zivko.
Treatment is expensive but he deserves a chance to live.
At this moment he needs one bottle for two days, every bottle is 75USD and therapy lasts 84 days.
So minimum cost will be 3.150,00 USD

Observation period - day 39/84
Update posted by Zeljana Burazin at 07:12 amToday is 39th day of observation period. We did blood checkup and X-ray shoot and results are showing that Zivko is doing great, so far. As much as I am happy, I am also scared that FIP may come back any time.We are taking it day by day and hope

DAY 42/84 or half way there!!
Update posted by Zeljana Burazin at 08:02 pmDAY 42/84Half way there!! It has been 42 days since we took yellow fluid from Zivko’s abdomen. PCR test showed that it was positive for FIP. Today is Zivkos 42nd day of therapy. It took him over 20 days to start loosing fluid from abdomen and for temperature to come. . . . .

Update posted by Zeljana Burazin at 07:17 amDear diary,I have a new haircut. I won’t say another word about it.Yesterday we had a new checkup. Ultrasound showed that abdominal fluid is shrinking. Zivko still sometimes has an issue of high fever and low appetite. Hopefully that too will get better soon.I am still additionally feeding him recovery

Update posted by Zeljana Burazin at 11:54 amWe switched serum 4 days ago and pushed the dosage up. Yesterday we went to the vet for a checkup. Abdominal fluid is still the same amount, but it does not interfere with his breathing. The vet took a fluid sample to check protein levels and they are at 3g. . . . .

Update posted by Zeljana Burazin at 12:52 pmUpdate 18.9.2020.Day 8/84Zivko is still fighting the FIP disease.We increased the dose of serum, which significantly affected the need for a larger number of vials.Yesterday we went to vet control and did an ultrasound and X-ray of the abdomen and lungs to check the condition of the accumulated fluid.The fluid. . . . .
