Help Me Save Orangutans!

Hi there! My name is Andrea and I am a senior in high school from Washington State. I am extremely passionate about environmental conservation and have decided to take a gap year before attending college to pursue my dream of constructing a better future for one of my favorite endangered species, the orangutan! Due to the loss of their lowland habitat to oil palm plantations and agricultural development, orangutans are one of the most endangered species of apes. They are now only found in the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra. I want to join the Trekforce Borneo program, based out of the United Kingdom, to help track and tag orangutans with scientists in the forests of Borneo. I will be living off the land, having great adventures, and being able to live a dream for 5 weeks that I've fostered since I first learned about the plight of orangutans as a small child... but only with your help!
