Help me save my personal belongings.

I am in desperate need of help, When I was made to return home four months ago from overseas where I had been studying at University what little I was able to keep of my personal belongings was shipped. Unfortunatly I have encountered finacial hardship in that I made the decision to take the money that I had left to originally pay for my shipment to go towards bringing my dog nemo home who ended up being stranded oversear for two months. I have been working non stop and trying to pay for my shippment but unfortunatly have just not been able to get enough pulled together. I would not be so concerned about losing my personal belongings, as most of the items are replaceable with the exception of a cedar chest that was given to me by my grandparents. When talking to the shipping company I have been trying to work with them to find a way of saving my stuff like breaking up the shippment so that I just recieved the items that are really important and can not be replaced but they refuse to allow me to break up the shippment. now the majority of my things will not seem important to most as they are mostly my school notes and work and books that I have used towards my degree. I wish I could raise all the funds needed myself through hard work but the shipping company is wanting money as soon as possible and I have tried everything that I can and working as much as possible, but it has just not been enough. I don't know what else to do other than ask for help. can anyone help me please? I want to thank anyone that would be willing to help me out but understand in these hard times if no one can I am just reaching out for some help.
