Hello,

My name is Imran. Many of you will know me as a photographer and youtuber from the UK. I moved to Dubai 3 years ago to work with a big brand company. They promised the world and being such a big brand with a proven track record I didn't doubt anything. My wife and myself packed our belongings and took our two small children to the land of opportunity. It was all beautiful at the start, until one month later, Boxing day, I was told that the project would not continue and I was not needed anymore. This was a major thing for us as we just signed our lease for an apartment and the commitment is on a yearly basis, We had used our savings to pay a deposit and rent for the month. We got through the pain and I was fortunate enough to find work with another company. It wasn't long that my luck had turned for the worst again and now we were looking at heading back home to UK, Eventually I was hired by another large media company. After a couple of months I was tired of having to beg for my wages and being paid in dribs and drabs, I eventually had enough when my child was sick and needed the only time off to take him to hospital. That evening I decided I wanted to start my own business so I can support my family without having to worry about a wage or chase others for cash. We used our savings and looked into a barber salon. At this time Covid was just creeping in, which was ok as I am on good terms with the landlord. I had an investor on board who would help me once my funds ran dry, and he would help pay for the completion. Unfortunately this was not on paper and done in good faith verbally. I later realised it was a big mistake and he then suddenly decided not to help and vanish with 3000AED of my money which he borrowed! Now I have this dream which I started from scratch, as you can see from the images, into this beautiful shop based on my own designs and planning. Now 3 months in and trying to find investors I am running out of time and will not be able to live here with no income, We still need to get more furniture, get the signage on and purchase barber tools to start work. Everything is ready and in place, just waiting for payment. I am in need of 150K AED, or approx 35k UK Pounds. The shop is based in one of Dubai prime locations, Dubai Marina. We are right next to JBR walk, where Duabi has the worlds largest wheel. I am trying my best to support my family and would never ask for this if it didn't mean enough to me, I appreciate everyone will have their views but I am simply asking for support here. I can not afford to lose approx 57K UK Pounds! I have exhausted all my options and turn to the good people of the world to help. You can find my website at Ubuntugentssalon dot com, and on instragram as Ubuntu Gents Salon.

To show my appreciation for donations I am happy to send you prints of my work. If you want, simple do the following:

For donations over £20, go to my website at www.photographybyimran.com and choose any image. Send me the link or image along with your address to [email redacted] and I have an A4 print sent to you. For donations in other countries the amount will be higher due to postage costs. Just send me an email and we can discuss further. Although this process is costing me I am wanting to show I am genuinely grateful for the help.

One issue is time, we only have the best part of 3 weeks to try reach our target. From then it will get more costly and the potential of losing all we worked for is high. Help me do this, please. I will make you all proud, just like I did my photography!

Kind regards

Imran and family
