Help Me Restore My Grandfather’s Golf 1 to Surprise My Grandmother

Hello everyone, I'm Blaz and I come from Slovenia. In 2009 my grandfather died, he was a hardworking man and lived with his family on a farm - he created everything he had with his own hands. After earning a lot of money, in 1984 they decided to buy a new VW Golf MK1 TAS.

The Golf was not produced in Germany, like most of today's Golf 1 we see, but in Yugoslavia in the city of Sarajevo in today's Bosnia and Herzegovina, short for TAS factory. These cars are very little endowed, the differences between the Germans and the TAS are trifles, in the lights and a few little details. The car was used for work as well as for free days, which were few, but they traveled with it to the sea or on a trip and spent many beautiful moments. This car was everything to them.

Considering that they are very religiously oriented, they went to the Brezje curch twice a year. Brezje is a church in Slovenia that is known to bless cars for a happy and safe ride every year. His wife, my grandmother, really enjoyed the ride. When he died, she greatly missed the memories when they drove to Brezje. She is 90 years old. My wish is that I can one day drive her with the car to the church in Brezje. It would truly be something memorable and unimaginable for her. She looks at the car sadly every day, and she can't drive it because she doesn't have a driving license and the car is no longer able to drive.

The car needs renovation since it's been standing in the garage for a few years. I'm still a student and I do not have a lot of funds available for the restoring process. Anyone who has ever restored a car knows how much money and most of all time it takes. Because I know how to do a lot on my own, it saves me a lot of money, but I still need some money to make the wish come true.
