I have a dream to provide talented youngsters in Liverpool with opportunities to play music to the highest standard. My forte is the brass band, and that is where I begin. Under the name Liverpool Youth Brass Band, I am appealing for every form of support I can get to start the ball rolling.
And it's not just about cash donations, even though this is what this campaign has been set up for; I need and could do with actual instruments in whatever condition. I also need musical people who would be willing to volunteer their time to support our prospective young musicians to excel in their development as talented brass band players. If you’re a fan of brass bands and young people, you can make a real difference by supporting this cause. The Liverpool Youth Brass Band is being set up for the mutual benefit of its members (the young people) and their local community. Therefore membership will be open to anyone. And because there is no direct government funding, this project will hugely value the kindness of people like you. In return for your support the brass band will be pleased to show their gratitude through a variety of benefits that will bring you closer to the group.
A one-off donation of any amount is most welcome and highly appreciated. However, regular donations are most welcome. For just a pound a week, you could help keep youth brass band music alive in Liverpool. This will provide some of Merseyside's most talented young musicians an amazing opportunity to push their talent to new frontiers - and maybe even launch great careers in music. Your support in any form - cash or instruments - will help to develop a new generation of brass players and percussionists, and also enable the band to connect with young people in the region. Thank you in advance for your kind support.
