Campaign Story
Hi!
I'm Jaylym Aldryne Escorpizo, a fresh graduate from the Philippines, and I was fortunate to have been granted a scholarship at TIAS School of Business and Society for their MScBA Program in Utrecht, January 2021 intake.
Unfortunately, I am at risk of losing this opportunity. The program advisor explained to me that I will have to support myself for the first two months of the program; this means rent, allowance, and all the other necessities for international students. According to my program advisor, the breakdown of expenses will be as follows:
EUR | USD | |
---|---|---|
Rent | 700 | 822 |
Allowance | 300 | 352 |
Visa | 174 | 204 |
Plane Ticket | 870 | 1022 |
2044 | 2400 |
I was able to finish my degree by doing part-time--sometimes even full-time--work to support myself. Throughout my undergraduate years, I worked as a personal tutor, a call center agent, and a financial advisor. I have been with my current employer since January 2020, working as a technical sales engineer while at the same time finishing my remaining units. While I am still in their care, my meager salary would prove to be insufficient for the great leap in expenses that I am expecting once I take on this next chapter of my career, as well as of my life.
With this, I humbly ask for your kindest assistance regarding my situation. If you, or anyone you know, could possibly extend any support in order for me to overcome this financial obstacle that I am faced with, I would be eternally grateful.
Yours respectfully,
Jaylym Aldryne B. Escorpizo
