Tshiamelo Inclusive Education Centre (TIEC) is an inclusive educational school which operates as a Non Profit Company. The school is based in Vryburg, North West and it is the only one of its kind in the area. It started operating on the 2nd February 2017. The concept was started in 2016 by Mrs. Claire Phutieagae-Top and the idea was inspired by her daughter, who has Down syndrome, which affects the rate at which she learns; however, she is absolutely capable of learning. There are many children with learning barriers and are not getting the attention and education relevant to their needs. Tshiamelo Inclusive Education Centre has been able to close that gap as a mainstream school cannot provide children with learning barrier with the kind of education they need to progress.
We have a 10ha piece of land that we have been leasing for the past 3 years, we need to now own this piece of land so that we can build the school to enable us to provide a suitable environment for our learners.
