Please help me to help others. Stress at work is a problem, and it is worsening rapidly. I did years of research on how to tackle and prevent work stress, and I am 80% finished with my book. I just need some funds to finish writing and to publish the book.

You are helping a good author: My first book, published by ATD press, and coming out in October, is doing well and is already pre-selling (it's on coaching).

Stress is a problem

According to the American Institute of Stress, workplace stress has become so commonplace that 80% of workers feel stress on the job. Nearly half of workers say they need help in learning how to manage stress, while 42% say their co-workers need such help. This book represents a multi-year search for the best resources related to stress and leadership, supplemented with a healthy dose of my own expertise and experience.

I researched the solutions

I did a lot of research, and there are lots of solutions. I am 80% finished with the book. Self-help and business books can be lengthy and replete with unnecessary verbiage and fillers. I wanted to offer a short book of 40,000 words, teeming with action-driven solutions. And I expressly wanted to write a book that was an enjoyable read with scores of tools, techniques, tips, and solutions for the reader on the personal, team, organizational, cultural, and global levels. I learned long ago that people learn best when they are relaxed, engaged, and having fun.

Who am I?

Who am I to tackle such an important subject matter? My multi-faceted background has afforded me a skills and experience that makes me a prime candidate. First, as a Ph.D. psychologist with a doctorate in clinical psychology specializing in trauma, I’m an expert in understanding and addressing stress. Second, I’ve spent several years in the throes of leadership. Not only have I held multiple senior leadership positions in non profit and publicly traded companies, I also hold another doctorate in organization development. I first served as the CEO of a health care company at the age of 38.

2. If you donate $1,000, I will provide a full career or business profile (worth $750), and I will provide 3 hours of phone/video career or work stress sessions.

3. If you donate $5,000, I will acknowledge you in the dedication of the book.

4. If you donate $15,000, I will provide a full career or business profile, and I will provide you 5 hours of phone/videocareer or work stress coaching sessions (or in person if you live in San Francisco, CA, USA), and I will acknowledge you in the dedication of the book. You will have helped yourself, as well as thousands of others who suffer stress at work.

Your contribution will go towards the time and labor to finish the book, and to meet with publishers to get the widest circulation of the book at the lowest cost of purchase for readers. All the proceeds of this book will go to animal welfare, just like my first book.
