A Helping Hand for an Artist

Hi, I'm Adlan.

I'm a freelance Digital Illustrator from Malaysia and I'm struggling to make ends meet.

I've been paying my student loans monthly and now my savings are running out. And I also have to pay a subscription fee for Photoshop CC, which, as an Illustrator, is my livelihood.

I can't get side jobs or leave the house frequently because I have to look after my elderly mother (65 years old), who has rheumatoid arthritis and eventually my grandfather (85 years old), who was living with my aunt but she suffered from tuberculosis and passed away a month ago.

He is still adamant on living with us because he doesn't want to be a burden. We're still trying to get him to live with us, even preparing our spare room for him, and we visit him every weekend.

My student loan payment is MYR 200, which is about $49 and the Photoshop CC subscription fee is MYR 61, approximately $15 monthly.

In a year, I would need to pay about MYR 3132 which is about $762. Fortunately, I can pay in advanced of a year worth of payment.

I hope within a year, I can have enough time to get my freelancing gig off the ground and make the rest of the payments myself.
