Help Me Pay For My Scholarship Application

Hello,

My name is Lara. I'm a senior high school student living in Middle East. I have endured the abuse of my religious parents since the day I was born. Sadly, it got even worse once I denounced my faith in Islam.

Simply moving out is not an option, because here, in conservative families like mine, girls are the property of their fathers until they get married. Once they get married, they're the property of their husbands. Thankfully, my father allows me to go to university. However, this doesn't mean that the abuse will finally end once I'm away for university. They will always be following me. It is impossible to cut ties with them as long as I'm in this country. So I have been waiting for the day and the opportunity I can finally break free and flee the country.

Luckily, I have come across a full-ride scholarship I can apply for. There have been some documents I needed to collect and I had to pay for some of them. I also had to apply for a passport. I paid for these with the pocket money I had saved over the years. That was the only source of money I had as I''ve never been allowed to work. However, in order to complete my application, I have to get my documents notarized. Notary fees in my country are pretty expensive. There's no way I can afford it. I don't have any friends who could lend me that amount of money, either. So I thought I could set up a fundraiser as a last resort.

I'd appreciate any amount of donations.

Note: The amount I actually need is $195 but since the minimum number to be able to start a fundraiser was $250, I had to write $251. I will take down the fundraiser once I reach that amount.
