Help Me or I May Die

The Beginning of The End is drawing near. I have done what no person should have ever done - owing more that what is owned. It all started so small. It was as if it was only yesterday the amount was no more than a thousand dollar worth

A year ago, life was simple. I have agreed to be the sole bread winner of the family (just me and the wife by the way). After years of hard work, I decided to support her dream to become a paper engineer. Yes, an aspiring one. However, as luck has its cruel way at times, she was diagnosed with de quervain syndrome, thus limiting the movements of her fingers and thumb. We were devastated. Not only was her dream crushed, she will not able to handle her dominant hand until it's properly treated, not to mention the rehabilitation time it will consume. 6 months passed. And that's all it took.

I had begun to make loans from loan sharks, unknowingly to her though. I was desperate to keep things afloat. We had lesser source of income. We had a plan that she would return to work if her dreams failed. The disease had prevented that from happening. Before i knew it, I was already drowning with ridiculous debt rates. I felt trapped. My world is beginning to shrink. At times, suicide was somewhat on the table too! But I wanted to stay strong. I can't imagine leaving her alone in this world without a single person to support her once I'm gone. I just need to get back on my feet. I just want to help her fix her hand and pay the debts. I REFUSE to die NOW.
