Help me meet Lady Liberty

Hi,

My name is Alison, I'm 20 years old, and I was born and raised in London. Ever since I was tiny I've been wanting to visit the USA and go on a road trip; however this won’t become a reality. So moving into my final year of univerity continuing my studying for a degree in Media Studies (hopefully to get a job at the BBC – fingers crossed :) I realised that before I enter graduate work I will have what could possibly be my last chance to visit America; in which case I want to go to New York and I've decided that I will take the trip next year.

I choose NY to be my destiniation as I love the look of the city and American people, they're just so fun and friendly, it's brilliant. And to complete a guility pleasure of attemptting a food challenge, I'm an avid fan of Man V Food and some of the challenges look amazing.

So being a student in my final year, with my Student fees and my workload piling up it will make it harder/less likely that I can find work during my studies; I’ve been lead to here to seek help from you to part-fund this trip. I have already begun saving and will continue to save EVERY last amount that I can but I know that I won’t be able to reach the budget needed for my trip without help.

We are in the process of planning out the trip and have a list of the things we will do such as: shopping, a tour of Liberty Island, experienceing the nightlife, exploring some of the surrounding area of New York and of course head to the top of the Empire State Building. 

The trip will take place (if I can fund it!!) In summer of next year, where myself and a life-time friend will head over to America to live out a once in a life-time trip where we can reward ourselves for completeing University before we have to part ways. After next year Aqsa will be heading off to do volunterring abroad, leading to her getting a job and migrating; and I will be trying to get a job in the London and settling in to work life with my long term boyfriend Timothy.
