Hi! My name is Jaeandra Manalo from Manila, Philippines. My close friends call me "Jam" or "Jae".

I would like to start off with a story, I am a Mass Communication Graduate and have been a Customer service Specialist since the day I graduated. I mean no discrimination with my field of work but I have always dreamed of being a Travel Show Host or Travel Vlogger, I am also very business-minded I have helped and assisted several businesses that my friends and family have without getting credit for any of it but I am okay with that as long as I was able to help.

Besides, doing business plans, logos, and even planning interior for my friends and family businesses. I also have a side job as an Events Host, I can guarantee that I am never a camera-shy person and would always give my best in any event I am.

Photo's below are photo's I have gathered at Events that I have hosted:

Jericho's 20th year anniversary in the Showbiz industry Meet and Greet press conference:

Music Fest:

Vivo Phone Launch in Malls:

Beauty Pageants:

And also did one on one interviews with local Government people:

When I was finally stepping foot towards my own dream last Feb 2020, the pandemic has crashed and burned all of it as all saved funds have been sourced out for essentials. I was hit by depression and anxiety that led me to stress-eating and then obesity. I have always dreamt of being able to share my thoughts about places and things with other people.

So I came up with the idea of starting a Vlog to spread depression, anxiety, body positivity, and health (mainly focusing on obesity) awareness.

I would like to make a blog and vlog that can help people. Besides, the usual travel vlogs and things to try I also want to make a change within me mentally and physically and hopefully inspire people to do the same, but with all my funds gone and having a very tight budget, I needed to sell all the equipment that I already have. As I said I am a Mass Communication graduate, I did have the basic equipments already but because of the Pandemic I had to let it go to provide my family's needs.

This was me before

Before the Pandemic

Me NOW, Twice my usual size and I still love myself and my body.

I am asking for help as depression and anxiety are still laughed upon by the people in the Philippines and I want people to know that it really is something that people should start to understand and know. And as for obesity, being a laughing stock and being compared to slimmer people on a daily somewhat triggers depression and anxiety. Being obese does not necessarily mean you eat like a pig and are just fat, it comes with complications too. I, for example, am having a hard time focusing on a diet and staying in one because I work during the night and for me to be able to stay up I need something to keep me up which could be something sweet, coffee, chocolates etc. I did not choose to gain all this weight and probably cost me my life, I had to keep myself awake to earn for my family's needs.

I am starting this fundraising:

  • Start a new life, as I've mentioned I am a Customer Service Specialist and I work during the night. I want to start having a healthier lifestyle and be able to do what I love which is Travelling and Sharing knowledge and information.
  • Share awareness, for me to be able to do this I need equipment to start my journey. ex. Vlogging Camera, Laptop, a Place to rent to do all of this etc.
  • To start a Clothing Line for all people, for all shapes and sizes and for everyone to feel good and express themselves with what they wear.
  • Share to a community, if my vlogs/blogs start to become monetized I will share a portion of it to different communities and charities as much as I could and would leave some to finance my future content.

Help me break out from my toxic lifestyle, Help me inspire others, Help me make people love themselves more, even a peso counts and is very appreciated.
