About Me

I am Santosh Bhattarai from Nepal. I am a computer engineer graduate from Tribhuvan University, which is one of the renowned government universities of Nepal. I love technology and making products that create job opportunities and help the community as well. I graduated in 2019. My story begins just a few months before my graduation.

My Story

I was offered to work on a startup at the beginning of 2019 by a group of CAs and the offer was made verbally. I accepted the offer and continued working as the only engineer to build the e-learning system from the ground up. After 6 months, I was able to finish the system and we launched the platform and started making operational revenue within 3 months. One day I asked for my share certificate and that was the time I found out that I had 5 times fewer shares than what I was initially promised. I was working on version 2.0 of that e-learning system and I decided to leave the company since I felt betrayed and helpless and contributing to the company made no sense. I was working all day and night and I got huge betrayal as a reward.

Since then I have been working on version 2.0 and I am near to launching state and I have raised around $5,000 from my family and relatives. I need a minimum $10,000 to launch the e-learning platform through a startup. I have worked for 2 years on this system and haven't had any jobs till now. The only option I have now is to give up on my dreams and set an example of sweet failure or rise above all the means to kick-start a startup and help people learn through my platform and also earn through it serving as a teacher. I don't want to give up on my dream so here I am asking for your small help since it not only changes my life also creates more job opportunities and will help students learn in a low cost. I seriously need your help. Help me if you think I deserve the help I am asking for.

What will I do with funds?

I need to buy a camera, microphone, board, and teaching materials, a table, two chairs, and a PC with GPU for editing videos, a space for the office, a server for hosting the platform, pay internet and electricity expenses, and rent expenses and buy some other minor stuff for operation. I will be hiring a co-worker for designing and editing stuff and one other co-worker for recording classes taught by teachers. The fund will solely be invested in rent for office space, aforementioned office items and to help myself and my co-workers to stay alive. Your small help will help me launch a startup and make my dream come true by creating opportunities for youths and teachers to earn a living through this platform.
