After the eviction earlier this year, some people believed the Calais 'Jungle' ended.

But all those refugees are still there, and more are arriving at a rate of 50 a day. The population has just reached a shocking 10,000 people. All squashed into the northern half of camp, making the conditions worse again. We had most people living in shelters ... now that so many shelters have been destroyed, people are back in tents. The Jungle is once again under threat of further eviction too.

Recently the kitchens were unable to supply any food. Volunteers and supplies are at an all-time low.

I'm very committed to continuing to do the work I've been doing for a year now. Many of you follow everything I do - it ranges from coordination both on and offline, being the media and PR representative, answering hundreds of queries daily about the camps, looking after volunteers, lobbying, speaking at conferences and events to raise awareness - to, of course, helping with the day-to-day camp business of sorting, distributing, taking refugees to hospital when I'm in Calais.

In particular, I'm about to start running a women's project and a hub where vulnerable refugees can receive phone credit to keep them safe.

I do not have any money. I do not receive expenses from anyone. If I'm asked to speak at a conference, I have to somehow find that petrol money myself. I am constantly trying to source work such as copywriting that I can do alongside, but this is very difficult.

I continue to need your support to help me keep doing this vital work. I work seven days a week, frequently for 14 hours or more, and I care deeply about every single refugee suffering out there at the moment.

Raising funding enables me to keep going - I need things like ferry fares, petrol money, cheap accommodation if the weather is too bad to sleep in my pig trailer at the warehouse. I need to be able to provide refugees with things while there, whether it's a specific medication need or a food run. If I find another volunteer in desperate need, I give them money if I can. I believe in sharing everything I have.

I'm always happy to tell you lots more about all I've been doing - please do get in touch.
