Help me keep my grandfathers truck

I was left my grandfathers 1956 dodge pickup truck when he passed away right before my 16th birthday. I actually spent my birthday that year at his funeral. My grandfather was like a father to me and told me to keep this truck no matter what but I am now losing storage for it and need to get it back on the road and in running condition so my parents will let me bring it home and keep it. They have wanted me to get rid of it for awhile now but my grandfather was everything to me and I can not allow myself to lose his truck. This Is really the only thing I have of his and I need to make sure I don't lose it because it really means more to me than anyone can imagine. I have talked with a friend who's father does car restorations and he said he can definitely help me out but of course he can not do it for free. He gave me an estimate of $6,000 to get it back on the road and looking good, assuming we don't run into any more problems than it already has. Being a college student, I am very low on money and would really appreciate any help. I have spent the past 4 years trying to restore it myself but now that I no longer have a place to store it to work on it while I have time I need to have someone else help me out. Again any help, big or small would be greatly appreciated and mean so much to me if it means I can finally put my grandfathers truck back on the road and go visit him at the cemetery with it. I have already started to sell a lot of my personal belongings to try and raise some of the money I need for this project and I am running out of things to sell so I really need as much help as I can get.
