Hi my name is Mavis Adrielle! I was born last March 19, 2020 12:15 am. I was diagnosed with Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR) that is why I only weigh 1.2 kgs. My mommy has been in and out of the hospital since October 2019 since she was diagnosed with an Ovarian Cancer Stage IIA. During my final weeks on her tummy, her doctor decided to deliver me via emergency Caesarian Section so my mommy will be treated the soonest possible time and to avoid further complications.
Aside from IUGR, my doctor told my mommy that I also have Hyaline Membrane Disease and Pulmonary Interstitial Emphysema that makes it difficult for me to breathe on my own. I wish I could play on the nursery room and lay on the crib my mommy and daddy prepared for me for me but for the meantime, I need to stay here at the hospital inside an incubator with ventilators hooked to help me breathe until I can do it on my own. I know I can do it even though my doctor says that my lungs are in a bad shape right now. I am trying my best to win my battle and I know my mommy and daddy are doing their best to support me.

Right now, our finances are a bit tough and any amount of help will be a huge favor us. I am not asking for a huge amount but any amount that will come from your heart will be so much appreciated. I really wanted to be with mommy on her first Radiotherapy session this coming April. I want to hold her hand as she is holding mine during my battle and assure me that everything will be alright. We know my mommy and I have a long journey to go and we know you will help us make this possible.

Weaning off the machine 💖
Update posted by Helping Hands at 09:53 pmOn our day 12 on tube, wire and beepers. We started weaning off already and so far it was a success. Please continue praying. A repeat xray will be done today at 10am. Baby Mavis is doing a great job. 💖
