Help me honor my children with the gift of music

The album is called "The Journey"

it will tell the tale of parents grieving the loss of their child, the struggles of coping and holding on to the fire that gave the child life to begin with. Learning the fragile nature of life and how it can sometimes separate a strong relationship even after conceiving another child. How the darkness of sorrow can bring a strong willed person to ruin. The will to live and the hope to die aspect of conflicted emotions and addiction to pain and drugs. Finally, the alleviation of grief at the bottom of the pit and reaching the solace needed to fight for love once again.

Hi. My name is Rafn. I am a musician, poet and screenwriter. The story of the album is of my own journey these past 11 years of my life. In these eleven years I have gone from being diagnosed with Schizophrenia to falling in love with an amazing and genuinely warm, loving and caring person, to losing a child, succumbing to grief and ruining my life completely with drugs and alcohol. In the midst of losing control of my life a beautiful baby boy was born - The best thing to ever happen in my life.

This album will be dedicated to both of my children, in hopes of one day my son will listen to it and realize himself what hardships can be and how to overcome them.

Losing everything made me realize how truly important everyone around me are and how utterly selfish it was to roam aimlessly into addiction. I guess that is what grief does to some of us.

Grief is agony and agony is pain incarnate and sometimes the only way to fight agony is with more pain till the scale explodes and you are left with nothing but empty feelings and hopelessness. It is there that the true fight begins. The fight for light and love. The redemption.

Life is more beautiful than we can perceived, Because often that beauty is behind a fog of emotions that cloud our view. I wish to bring both aspects of life into view, break through the fog and gaze on life with clear emotions. To help alleviate or maybe even eradicate agony.

I am asking for help to pay for studio sessions and equipment to maximize the quality of the songs.
