Help me, help them

Hi everybody,

I'm writing this on behalf of a dear friend of mine.

I'm not the best writer, so please bare with me.

My friend is a 58 year old animal lover by the name of Tuncay who lives in Mugla/Turgutreis, for as long as i have been coming to Bodrum i would always find him somewhere near an animal, at the Shelter and/or quite a few times at the vet where he came to bring yet another dog or cat for whatever accident they suffered. We would have a chat, a cup of tea and he would tell me to stop by whenever i feel like it. He lives alone near Turgutreis, has a little land attached to his property on which he keeps 2 adorable donkeys by the names of Fistik and Turkan, 8 dogs of which one is about to give birth and 17 cats, some missing legs or tails, some just came by themselves to join the party. Cant blame them, can we.

Outside of these animals Tuncay goes around with the dolmus everyday, no matter what weather, no matter if he's a little under the weather or not to feed colonies of cats all over the area. He would walk around in Turgutreis, take a dolmus to places like Bitez and Bodrum and returns near the evening, only to do the same route again in the morning. You see Tuncay doesn't have a job, hes retired due to heath issues and has lost his wife a few years ago. He has Family but most of them live in Rize he tells me. So the animals he keeps are his only company, plus in more normal summer seasons (those without co-vid) there are a few tourists he says always come by to visit him and help a little. But they haven't been coming this year and Tuncay isn't much of a social media person, he doesn't have Facebook or Instagram like us.

Now, my reason for this funding page is to ask help, any kind of help is welcome. As we all know true animal lovers are hard to find, and by that i dont mean those that love to cuddle a kitten or feed a dog when they see it. I am talking about people who have devoted their life to caring, helping and loving animals without getting anything for it in return. Tuncay is a man like that, but he is facing really big problems at the moment. He is till his nose in vet debt and is barely able to feed the animals he has on his property, let alone those he goes to feed everyday. In his words, God is big, but sometimes we need a little help from people on earth right?
