Campaign Story
Hey everyone! As many of you know I’ve been on the island of Samos, Greece for a couple weeks volunteering with the ever growing refugee population here. There are new arrivals every day from Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, the Congo, Somalia, and more.
The conditions in the camp are unsurprisingly horrendous and the organization I’m working with, Samos Volunteers, has created some AMAZING programs/services to do at least a small amount to help. There’s a laundry service, an education program that includes classes in four different languages, fitness, dance, and music, a women’s center, and children’s activities up in the “jungle” area by the camp.
I’m SO excited to be here and be doing this work and although I’m scheduled to come home on September 10th, I’d like to extend my time here until my legal limit- October 9th. In order to do that however, I need some more money! Living expenses are pretty low here for the most part but I’m already running on fumes/credit card debt and need about $1000 for the next 7 weeks so make this plan feasible. Whatever I raise over this amount will go directly to Samos Volunteers!
Anything you can give to help no matter how small would be insanely appreciated. I’m living on less $15 a day usually so a little goes a long way! I’ve included some links below to the organization’s website and some articles about the situation here on Samos.

My daughter is a chd patient and she is in need of open heart surgery that is why we are raising funds to meet the cost of her operation..pls we need your help ..any amount even small will be a big help for us

Please help my 2 year old daughter...she has limited existence here on earth because of conginetal heart disease..she needs to be fix with multiple open heart surgeries

This is the girl who used to laugh and cheer. She followed the rules all day. All of a sudden, the doctor said he was infected with a distant virus. A beautiful appearance made him look like a mortal man. Baba’s mother is very poor.She wants to live more. She does not want to die in the beautiful land, she wants to live among the people. To treat her as a whole, a large amount of money will have to be added within 7-15 days. He will die in an orphanage. She have need 1 Core BDT for treatment. This sweet girl is desperate to have a lot of money, she has no treatment. If her father had the money, she would not have it today. Let me raise my hand to give it a new life.
