Help me help others

Hello, my name is Ryan Juarez and I am currently a college sophomore. Let me start at the beginning.

            All seemed well growing up. I had an average life with ups and downs and treasured every moment. When my senior year came along I wanted to pick a college where I could pursue my goal of studying in business to learn about human resource management. I had applied to the University of North Texas and was accepted, I was so happy! Then a week before I was about to move in I discovered that I did not have enough money due to my mom being denied a parent loan. It broke my heart and hers as well but I was able to find a community college nearby I could go to for a year. I know God has plans for me so I looked to the bright side of things. Now I am in the same situation this year. We have done our best to prevent this situation like trying to improve credit scores and saving money. However, by the time I found my full time job on top of my full time college I have only saved just over $3,000. Community college is no longer an option for me as I have taken all my core classes and they do not provide the education I seek. I am a smart guy. I excel at anything I put my mind to, whether it is school or work. I have applied to all scholarships I could find yet have only received one for a small tuition payment. Not one person in my family has good enough credit to cosign a loan for me but I still believe I can make it. After searching the web for days about what to do, I found two things: this website of awesome people, and people in situations like me that don’t what to do.

            As a man of God it has been my goal in life to live by and spread God’s word, but I also have another one. Once I develop a good source of income I wish to set up a foundation where other low and middle class kids can have a chance to attend their college. Reading people’s stories like mine just made me so sad; I want to be able to help those who cannot attend their college only because they couldn’t have someone help them. Who knows, maybe they will be inspired and seek out their own ways to help others, and we can put more kids where they belong, in college. This is not meant to be a sob story because I am no different than any of the other kids in my position, I just want to get an education where I can have a job to help others. Any donation or even a good luck is more than I could hope for. I know it is not much but if you would like I will gladly send any thank you cards or anything else I can muster up as soon as I can afford it.
