So, I'm going to Tanzania this summer for two months. I'm traveling with an organization called Engineering World Health. The organization's, and therefore, my goal is to improve the technological infrastructure in developing county clinics and hospitals.

So what does that mean? Well I will be sent to a hospital in the Arusha region, where I am to maintain and repair medical equipment. Some of the hospitals might have equipment which they don't know how to use, so one of the assignments is also to adequately educate the personal at the hospital.
The problem is that if any given equipment fails, the possibility that some one knows how to fix it is low. That means the equipment will be put aside and never used until fixed. It could very well be essential equipment. The pictures I have uploaded is a strong indicator for that.
So you see I'm very much needed down there, unfortunately there are some expenses in traveling to Tanzania. Amongst others are vaccinations, plane tickets, diets, Swahili course, and a medical repair course.
