Help Me Help Juliana

PLEASE DON'T "SHARE" ON SOCIAL MEDIA, AS THIS IS A VERY PRIVATE ISSUE.

My daughter has been showing signs of being very depressed. It is primarily expressed as deeply misanthropic negativity. “The World sucks,” as does everyone in it. She has become completely socially isolated at school, and has absolutely no friends there, and expresses no interest in having any. Adolescence has hit her hard, and she’s only 12!

I think she urgently needs some intervention. She is seeing a therapist, but I also think that a major removal from her normal routine would provide enough of a push and a shake-up to be helpful (I know it would help this exhausted single mama). Developmental psychology backs me up on this. I’d like to try for something ambitious that would have a big impact. She has talked of wanting to visit London, and I’d really like to find a way to take her for a couple of weeks next spring (2019), but I can’t afford to do it on my own, so I’m looking to my community to help make this happen. Ideally, I’d like to raise enough so we can layover in New York for a few days on the way back and I can take her to see Hamilton. (Oddly, this self-identified “Emo” girl LOVES the Hamilton soundtrack - go figure!)

So, I’m hoping I can reach enough friends who are willing to help me fund this "project." I know, it’s not cancer or anything, but it is still a life altering issue. If enough people make just small donations and ask their friends to do the same, we can raise the funds. Please help!
