Help me grow our edu- garden

After years of teaching from a small space in my home - I now have the wonderful opportunity to grow my dream Montessori Pre-school based at a local community centre. The academic insides of the classroom area have been taken care of - all self-funded, after years of planning and saving up to purchase the necessary and relevant equipment.

We now have a large outdoor space that needs plenty of TLC. It has the potential to be a wonderful sensory edu-garden for our children. The plan is to start the garden from grass roots level and build it up, teaching the children the basics of how to grow a simple and sustainable food patch in a variety of different ways. Once we are harvesting - we intend sharing our produce with those less fortunate in our immediate community.

As my savings have all gone into the maintenance, repairs and insides of our newly acquired academic classroom - we are fresh out of funds to build this sustainable, healthy edu-garden for our learning community.

If you believe in growing your own food, teaching young children all about the importance of sustainability on our planet, in good responsible food produce and the importance of school gardens - we'd like to ask you to donate to our fund.

Your donations will help us in making this dead patch a beautiful and healthy space, filled with green and lively critters. We will be composting, making our own liquid fertiliser, building a worm farm, and using healthy soil. We need pavers, bricks, logs, garden tools, seeds and hopefully a vertical hydroponic station with a watering system and above all it is our goal to send our young learners off into the world with much better knowledge of where their food comes from, how to grow it responsibly and how to share the produce with others.
