Help Me Go To Culinary School

It has always been a passion of mine to have my own bakery. I look at a block of butter and my immediate thoughts are of pastry and the sound of my kitchen mixer blending masterful creations!

When I think about my future all I can see is creating beautiful food and the joy it gives me watching peoples' reactions when they bite into one of my creations.

They say food evokes memory and that is so true. My favourite memories of my childhood all involve baking and being in the kitchen: my mom teaching me to ice cupcakes; my dad guiding me through his baking process of bread and being in the kitchen with my grandparents for special occasions.

No dream is realised by dreaming alone and it is for this reason that I have taken the brave step of asking for help. My parents are doing what they can to get me to Silwood School Of Cookery in Rondebosch, Cape Town but the first year is quite expensive and so I am taking initiative to ensure that I can pay for the full course and the weekly ingredients I will need.

Silwood will not only teach me the skills I need to become a chef but will also teach me to plan for and run my own kitchen.

My funding request include the following :

• Course fees for 2020

• Weekly ingredients budget for the year

• Uniforms

• Equipment required

• Exam fees

This is the first step to seeing my dreams realised and I would be so grateful for your assistance in getting me there.
