To whom it may concern,
I am writing on behalf of Sifiso Nsele who is participating in a volunteer program offered through our
organization, Global Volunteer Network. We are a non-profit organization based in Wellington, New
Zealand, which places people in a range of volunteer opportunities including teaching, environmental
and humanitarian work in countries around the world, such as the Philippines, Nepal, South Africa,
Kenya, Ecuador, and Peru.
Sifiso has been accepted as a volunteer in our Panama Volunteer Program and will be volunteering
with our local Panama partner, for 12 weeks starting in July 2013. Our Panama partner is dedicated to
empowering individuals worldwide through the encouragement of self-exploration and expression
through social entrepreneurship, volunteerism, philanthropy and cross-cultural exchange as powerful
forces for worldwide change. During Sifiso's volunteer time he will be involved in a range of projects
from caring for orphans, street children and abused children to providing literacy courses. As well as
providing development services to enhance the local community throughout Panama.
Volunteers, such as Sifiso, give so much of their time and personal resources to make volunteering a
success. Sifiso is using his personal savings and has been working hard to raise the funds needed to
enable him to contribute to this opportunity to help others. If you are able to help support Sifiso
financially in some way it would be greatly appreciated. The program package for Sifiso to volunteer in
the Panama Volunteer Program for 12 weeks is US$ 2947; as well as this, volunteers are asked to pay
for their airfares, entry Visa, vaccinations, and insurance. As you can see, volunteering does come at a
cost. Sifiso and the Global Volunteer Network would appreciate any donations you can give to enable
this program to continue using volunteers and benefiting the communities that Sifiso will come into
contact with but also those in his local community who he may inspire to help others in less fortunate
circumstances than themselves.
If you have any questions about our organization you can phone or email me directly or talk more to
Sifiso personally about it. We thank you for the time you have taken to consider this worthy cause
and I am sure Sifiso would be more than willing to share his experiences with you on his return.
