Hi, everyone. My name is Martin, and I'm 32 years old.

I have been dealing with pain and swelling on my lower legs for almost 2 years.

In the beginning I thought it was muscle related, since I'm a runner, and I train most days of the week. But no massage, stretching or resting would give me relief.
During the last year, I started to get discoloration on my lower legs. Purple spots, some of them achy.
I went to a dermatologist, who told me they were varicose veins, and referred me to a phlebologist.
The phlebologist sent me to do a duplex ultrasound, and I was given the diagnoses of venous insufficiency on my great saphenous vein on my left leg.
Life has been hell this last year, because this impacts my daily life very negatively.
I can't stand in place for more than 5 or 10 minutes until my lower legs start to swell up and feel tight, heavy and achy.
Some days I don't even feel like doing anything, because I can't tolerate being in pain all the time.

I'm so depressed. More so, because I have been into sports for many years now, and this prevents me of being as active as I would like to be. Running is much harder with this condition, since my legs feel heavy, and my recovery is much slower than it used to be.
I have injuries that never heal, and I'm sure it has to do with the bad circulation.

I'm only 32 years old! I don't want to live with this forever!
I want to get endovenous laser theraphy for my chronic venous insufficiency and be done with this.
I will be very thankful for any donations, no matter how small they could be.
Thank you very much for reading me and for your help.
