My name is Sarah Ball. I am 27 years old and a law and science graduate from the University of Otago.
Last year I became the first New Zealand woman to be offered a place at the University of Texas Law School at Austin to complete a Master’s degree in Global Energy, International Arbitration and Environmental Law.
The University of Texas at Austin is a top law school with arguably the best energy program in the world. I was honored to have been selected for 1 of the total 25 places offered each year.
Currently there is no funding available to New Zealanders for the pursuit of overseas study. Please help me to realise my goal of studying energy law in the hopes of applying the knowledge I attain to New Zealand’s policy development and one day representing New Zealand in the resolution of any international energy disputes.
