Hello! I am Ryle Custodio, 19 years old, 4th year Composition Major at the University of the Philippines College of Music.
Recently I have been chosen to be a student to the 2018Takefu International Music Festival in Echizen City, Fukui, Japan. Among the numerous applications from around the world, I am one of the very few - and the first ever Filipino young composer - to be chosen to participate in the Festival. There I will be receiving lessons and lectures from international composers, performers, and immersion to the local life in echizen city.
But I have been trying to make ends meet just to gather enough funding for my trip, since my request for financial assistance was unfortunately denied. I've also exhausted all possible means of soliciting resources but everything just won't work for me. Meanwhile, my family can only provide so much since we are also facing some financial difficulties. I am afraid that should I not be able to have enough resources before my trip, I would lose this extremely rare stint.
I really hope that through your generosity, you would help me send to myself to Japan, and make this opportunity come to reality for me.
Here is a breakdown of my estimated expenses:
- Roundtrip airfare (Manila - Osaka, via Jetstar Asia): P 15,000
- Land Transportation to/from Kansai Airport: P 3,000
- Tuition fee for the Festival: (JPY 10,000): P 4,800
- Accommodation (9 nights, 10 days): P 17,200
Any amount you donate would help me a lot in covering my expenses in Japan, and I would eternally grateful to you.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this. :)
