Dear compassionate friends,

I am Dr. Nasrallah Almassri, a Palestinian doctor deeply entrenched in the heart of health services in Gaza. Today, my plea comes from the depths of a painful reality that has shattered dreams and left me at a crossroads, grappling with daunting challenges.

I worked as a volunteer at Nasser Medical Complex, witnessing the dire situations in Gaza firsthand, only to be forced to different locations( Rafah ) and volunteer at Al Kuwaiti Hospital.

The dream that once felt within reach is slipping away, with my efforts and investments lost to the harsh reality of an Israeli genocide.

Living under siege in Gaza, where people endure genocide, has become an unbearable reality. The constant bombings, displacement, and scarcity have pushed my dreams further from grasp. Time spent working, and the effort I invested—all taken away by the harsh reality.

Motivated by the pride and joy my achievements bring to my parents, their concern for my safety now overshadows our conversations. Despite the difficult circumstances, I aspire to continue being a source of happiness for my parents and a pillar of support for those in need. I reach out to you with hope, seeking your support to leave Gaza and resurrect my dream. Your assistance will provide safety and opportunity, fulfilling dreams lost to the ravages of war. Let us turn the page on this chapter of destruction together and rebuild a future filled with hope, resilience, and healing.

In the heart-wrenching reality of Gaza, where about 85 doctors have tragically lost their lives, I find myself immersed in profound challenges and unending dangers. The aftermath of an Israeli genocide brings relentless bombings, displacements, and pervasive scarcity, making the pursuit of my dream an emotional journey against a compassion-demanding backdrop. The looming fear adds complexity, intensifying the sense of vulnerability.

Throughout my university journey, I deeply engaged in voluntary work, driven by a sincere desire to assist others. One aspect of my commitment involved serving as a first aid trainer in schools and public gatherings, where I aimed to instill a sense of preparedness within communities. Additionally, within the IFMSA, I dedicated myself to organizing and participating in various events. As a member of two committees and former head of the standing committee of Research Exchange within IFMSA, I embraced the empathetic core of helping people, contributing to the enhancement of health and well-being in both local and international settings. This fusion of academic pursuits and altruistic endeavors has profoundly shaped my university experience, molding me into a compassionate advocate for positive change.

If you can donate, no amount is too small. Your kindness and compassion will not only save lives but also restore the chance for dignified living.

Your support in these trying times means the world to me and my family. I humbly ask for your aid and encourage you to share our campaign within your network. Together, we hold the power to bring about change and offer a lifeline to those in need.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Nasrallah Almassri.
