Help me get my wifes independence back

Hi,

My name is Dan. I want to give my wife and mother to my two boys her independence back. To do this I need your help to be able to buy a car with driving aids.

It all started last year 2016 in early January when my wife woke up one day and her feet tingled like the were asleep and gave her pain. It would not go away insted it crawled higher up her legs. Suddenly she could not feel her feet and we went to the hospital. There they made some tests and could not find anything and sent her home. The numbness and pain kept crawling up her legs, waist and chest. we rushed to the hospital were she ended up in intense care diagnosed with Guillian-Barré syndrome. This is a rapid-onset muscle weakness caused by the immune system damaging the perhipheral nervous system. She had a hard figth and intense care and medications that she nearly not survived.

But i have a fighter wife I must say. It took her serveral months of rehabilitation and probably rest of her life in a wheelchair and nervous pains. She can walk really short distanses indoors holding on to things but she can not feel much below her waist and do not feel her feet at all. She gets tired after a few minutes and have to sit and rest. Walking outside is not possible at all.

Now one and a half year later she handles her wheelchair like she were born into it and want to start live and work again as before. The only thing stopping her independence is her own car that she can drive. We live in the in the countryside in a house that we love, far from infrastructe. The nearest bus station is 50 min away walking distance. Our family and a house in the countryside with her kitchengarden is one of her dreams in life. Nothing should stop my lovely wife to fulfill her dreams, not even her own body. and I will not give up on her, since I know she would not give up on me.

This is why ask your support, I need help to raise funds to a car with driving aids so my wife can live her life as she want to, independent. Go to work, pick up our children or go shopping for groceries without anything holding her back any longer.
