If you watched the video you probably already know that...
I am incredibly passionate about marine mammal conservation and now I have a real opportunity to start my journey towards making a change for the whales & dolphins in our oceans. ORCA’s course will give me the knowledge and experience I need in order to raise awareness about the issues marine wildlife is facing.
How are marine mammals endangered?
Cetaceans are crucial to our planet’s ecosystems but they continuously face many threats generated by our activity – ocean pollution, commercial whaling (yes, that’s still happening), captivity in parks such as Sea World as well as collisions with ships, military sonars and many others…. My mission is to spread awareness about these problems and inspire people to discover the excitement and fascination of observing these beautiful animals sustainably.
About the course
ORCA's Marine Wildlife Course is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in marine conservation with desire to raise awareness about the threats whales & dolphins are facing. It is a month-long course that takes place on board of one of Brittany's Ferries sailing from Portsmouth (UK) to Santander/Bilbao (Spain) through the Bay of Biscay where over a quarter of the world's cetaceans can be spotted.
I will learn how to use my skills to help marine mammals by giving presentations about whales and dolphins found in European waters, conducting deck watches in order to spot wildlife and encouraging people to see and get to know these fascinating animals in the wild rather than in captivity.
Your donations will help me realise my potential and complete the first step towards the training and experience I need in order to really help animals and fight for what I believe in. I hope I can inspire you and others set on a similar journey to put themselves out there and seek support.
What happens after you donate?
Well, good deed for the day is done - you have helped me achieve my dream and secure a safer future for marine wildlife! Furthermore, to express my gratitude to everyone who supports me in this project, you can expect regular updates here and on my Facebook page as well as a special video at the end of the project (in October 2016) detailing my experience on board and thanking every single one of you! To keep it fun, there is also a prize draw - please see the rewards section on the right!
I cannot explain how grateful I will be to everyone who contributes in any way!
Please feel free to share my page and contact me on Facebook & Instagram. I can't wait to connect with like-minded people and update all of you on my conservation journey!!!
