My name is Sphesihle Mfeka, I was born and bred in the coastal city of Durban, South Africa. Growing up, I’ve always wanted to become a teacher. After graduating in psychology, I volunteered for 2 years without pay at a school here in Durban.
My family secured a loan for me to travel abroad to launch my ESL career. This started an amazing journey for me as you’ll see in the pictures accompanying my insert.

After returning home in December 2021 to bury family members, I couldn’t return to resume my beloved and esteemed job of teaching English in China. This was due to the travel restrictions that were currently in place. I have been unemployed since December 2021 and have exhausted my savings due to supporting my family throughout the months.

Now that the travel restrictions have been lifted, I intend to return to China where my contribution to education is massively appreciated. This will among many things help me support my two sisters here in SA and help me enrol for an advanced qualification in education which I’m extremely passionate about.

Your donation will contribute to my flights, quarantine, medical checks and many more administrative items

I pray that the Lord will touch your heart to donate however you’re able and it’ll be appreciated many times over. It’ll educate a child, clothe the naked and most importantly bring fresh bread to the table for breakfast to my family and many more that I help in church.

Thank you very much for your sincerity as you donate
