This year, I will be graduating Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in a business program at the University of the Philippines - Diliman. At first, I really had my mind set to becoming a lawyer. It was only until it was time to take up the PhilSat and the different law school entrance tests that I realized I did not want to be one. I had my heart yearning to be elsewhere. Both my parents are in the business field and seeing them work since I was little made me love the craft. And now, looking forward to my future, I have made my decision to pursue the field I really envision myself to be in - finance. However, it is becoming a tough road for me and my family since it is admittedly a costly dream.
I plan to take up a one-year MA program in Finance at the Hult International Business School. For the whole program, the tuition fee sums up to 2.4 million pesos ($44,000). This still does not include the housing, living, and other school-related expenses needed for my whole stay in Boston. I know that this is a very ambitious step towards the career path I really want to take, but I am humbly knocking at your kind hearts to help make this dream of mine come to life.
I will be forever grateful for all your support and I promise to really do my best if given the chance to have this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Thank you very much.
