Campaign Story
Hi everyone, my name is Ellis Sinclair... So after careful consideration, with the coming winter (we are already in the middle), it is clear that I really need help getting a van to drive. Back in 2020, I finally got the license. Although it took a long time to get the license, I did it! However, buying a car is a whole new challenge...In my fundraising event, I attached a photo of my wheelchair because this is where I commute, go to the grocery store, walk the dog and get Things we all need.
Since I got my driver's license, saving has been a daunting challenge because I live alone and pay for rent, utilities and food. I decided that I should really contact everyone I know to see if I can get some help... If someone reads this article and knows me, you will know how stubborn I am, asking for help is not One of my strong suits. I only know that deep down, my electric chair will not be able to withstand more daily use. It is not intended to be used as a mini-vehicle, this is how I have been using it for the past few years. That and the most likely blizzard in the future will completely hinder my ability to use the electric chair to go anywhere outdoors. It's not as hot as a car, so I have to pack it every time I go out in cold weather so that I don't get frozen...
Letting the car drive will truly expand my world, extend the life of my chair, and in general is a more practical way to perform my daily duties. I have been living independently for nearly three years. Being independent is cool because I think this is something I will never achieve, but I think if there is no car, certain things in life may eventually take me away from me. How far has come . I feel that I have reached the point of life. If I want to go further than I am now, I must ask for help. So please buy me a car...I swear to make the most of it. I will not disappoint anyone who has donated in good faith, and most importantly, I will not let myself down.
