Help me get a laptop for university

In September, I will begin my journey at university, studying Psychology. I have dreams of becoming a clinical psychologist and helping those with mental health issues to get better each and everyday. There is not enough emphasis on the importance of having knowledge of mental health problems, understanding them and also how to spot and treat them and that's why this is my chosen career path.

When I go to university, all of my assignments and most of my research will need to done on a laptop and I require one of good quality that is able to last me three years minimum. My family are going through financial issues at the moment and are unable to afford such an expense as they try to pay for our living costs. We are already scraping together funds to purchase my other university equipment such as stationary, textbooks and notebooks, but we have also had to pay for furniture and utensils for my flat that I will be living in. However, despite the financial aid I receive, there isn't enough to purchase a laptop which is a huge requirement for doing well in university.
