Help me fulfill my photography dream

This would usually start with a story of how I got into photography... but I'm not one of those kids that grew up with an SLR. My parents didn't give me my first camera when I was but 15...

My first contact with self-made, decent, photographs was probably about 5 years ago, when I got a Sony phone with decent enough camera that allowed me to capture what I was seeing in my mind's eye. I've always seen things differently than most of my peers, not only visually but in almost every way. The black sheep that's actually a wolf pretending to fit in.

I've loved good photos for as long as I remember. I always enjoyed doing mental exercises about what I'm looking at in a photo, and what was the person taking it experiencing. There's something so peculiar and wonderful about being to share the way that you perceive reality. I would never go as far as calling my work art, but rather glimpses into my world. A quick glance at how each of us processes everything and that which we call beauty, because I can't think of anything more subjective than beauty.

But the thing I love most of all about photography is the timelessness of it all. It is seemingly a cheat against the ruthless tyrant that is time... and yet a quick snap, one push of the finger and we can save small bits and pieces of moments, put them aside and treasure them. You look at a photograph and you're almost instantly taken back there.

This is what I want to do with my photography but my budget never allows me to purchase the equipment needed to actually make a living out of this. And this is how I ended up trying my luck here, where perhaps the kindness of people can help where I have failed so often on my own: take it to the Professional level and earn a living out of this.

I have set an end date to this, my 30th birthday, but I however have no such expectation. It was mostly my uncertainty at creating this fundraiser.
