Hello everyone, Smile

I have set up this fundraising page in order to raise money for a crisis I find myself in. I understand that many of you may come across many fundraisers like this, and I will honestly understand if you would not be able to assist this time, however, if you would, it would help me majorly to pursue my studies by getting me out of this sudden crisis I find myself in.

Before that, let me just give you a short account of what's happened (I will be as open as possible):

I am a first year Medical student at University. I managed to secure great grades and was accepted into a medical institution. However, money was always tight and after a few months, I realised that expenses were rising and that I was needing to go into my savings again and again. As a result of these financial constraints, I was forced me to invest in the stock market in order to make some money to help pay for increasing expenses, and so that I may carry on studying without money being a prime issue. In order to make some meaningful money, I decided to invest using CFD's (Contract for Difference) which is a leveraged form of buying stocks for a short period of time with a lot of risk, but with potential to make lots of money.

I had £4000 savings (including using a £1500 no interest overdraft facility) which I invested straight into the trading account. With a lot of research, I decided to invest the money on certain stocks which I thought would rise. In a couple of days, I made a few hundreds, but lost a few thousands too at the same time. In a few days time, I saw all my savings disappear. Left distraught, I decided to use a family credit card and deposited £6000 in the account for further investment. With a very high percentage of the stock rising with almost every analysts stating the stock would rise ahead of the earnings call yesterday (they advised it as a "buy" or "outperform" stock), I decided to invest all that credit card money hoping to make enough to pay back the credit card company and my previous losses.

However, things weren't meant to be. When the earnings report was released, the stocks fell sharply. So sharply, that I lost all the money.

Absolutely devastated, I had no idea what to do. I went to my parents, but they had no money to pay for this sudden debt I saw myself in. Without anybody willing to help, I decided to contact the university to help me. I already did contact them a few weeks back and sent through an application, but that application was refused due to the savings I had. When I contacted them again this time, they stated that they wouldn't be able to help since they couldn't take this loss of money into consideration.

So now, as it stands, I've lost almost £9500+ and am in a position where I owe the credit card company £6000.

My future career is on the line here, where I see myself being forced to drop out of University and see my life having taken a seriously bad turn, which I may never recover from.

This is a harsh lesson I’ve learnt as a young student and will definitely be taking lessons from this disastrous event.

As a result, I am sincerely requesting you all to donate some money, so I may be able to pay of the credit card company first of all, and then go about paying back the overdraft I took out and establishing a position where I have enough money to pay for expenses so I may continue on with my studies. With all these sudden debts paid off, I may be able to continue with my studies and hopefully, graduate with an MBBS degree and become a training Doctor.

Again, I do sincerely apologise for having to contact everyone like this, but I am in deep need of support at this time. This is the first time I have ever had to resort to such means, and I feel absolutely terrible to have had to. But please be advised that any sort of donation will go a long way in helping to resolve this crisis I find myself in.

I hope you all can understand my situation, accept my apology for such stupidity on my behalf to invest so brainlessly, and can donate anything which you can to help me out of this crisis.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Smile
