Help me fly to my bestfriend for the last goodbye

My name is Mathieu, I'm 25 years old and I come from Lyon,France. 6 years ago I got a scholarship that gave me the opportunity to attend the prestigious Columbia University College in New York. At the campus I met Thomas Anderson, a student that like me had come a long way from another country, Australia, to study there. He has been my roommate since the beginning of college. Me and Thomas became friends as soon as we met and as time went on we kept on bonding even more, we always hang out together, we had the same groups of friends, we have been on hundreds of road trips together across America and most importantly, we always shared the sames ideas and ideals. During the tough (but unforgettable) years in college, he became my best friend, one of the few people I fully trusted. Unfortunately, one months ago he called me from Perth, where he went back for a few weeks to see his family, telling me that after being hospitalized for fainting on the floor, he had been diagnosed with a Glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor at stage IV. He had one surgery the past week on April 11th, that, according to the doctors, did not solve that much. They said he is probably going to pass away in a few weeks, and I really feel miserable for him, as a student of medicine, I can understand all the physical and emotional pain he is going through. After this long tale I would like to ask everybody who made it to this part of the story to help me book a flight to Australia to spend the last days of Thomas' life with him. At the moment I am not financially capable of meeting the cost of the trip and of the accommodation, so I would really appreciate the help of each one of you that is reading right now.
